Top Film & Television Apps on Android in the UK: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, the top film and television applications on the Android platform in the United Kingdom showcased varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

myODEON, developed by Odeon Cinemas Ltd, saw a fluctuating download pattern. Weekly downloads started at around 7.5K in early April, dipping to 3.4K by mid-May, before recovering to 6K by the end of June. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from approximately 144K in late March to over 193K by the end of the quarter.

Vue experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 4.7K in the last week of June. Active users also rose throughout the quarter, starting at about 50.7K and reaching over 53.6K by quarter's end.

Cineworld Cinemas displayed a steady download rate, with a notable peak in the final week of June at 3.7K. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, hovering around the mid-70K range, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.

TodayTix – Theatre Tickets saw downloads vary, peaking at 2.1K at the end of May. Active users increased from around 58.8K in early April to approximately 58.9K by the end of June, with some fluctuations in between.

Everyman had a minimal presence in terms of downloads, with figures starting at 107 in mid-May, dropping to 81 by the end of June.
